Nusantara Flavour in London
A dining experience rooted in Indonesian culinary and traditions — long tables, cultural stories, and dishes from across the archipelago.
“Where stories and palates jumpa.”
About Us
Jumpa Rasa is a London supper club built around one long table. In Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language), Jumpa means “to meet” and Rasa means “flavour” — and that's the whole idea: strangers become friends over dishes that don't often make it onto a London menu.
No two Jumpa Rasa experiences taste the same, because Indonesia isn't one cuisine — it's 17,000 of islands' worth. Every supper club takes you to a handful of them.
Our events are held at different corners of the city, filled with guests working through a shared-plate feast course by course while we tell the story behind each dish: where it's from, who taught us to cook it, and why it matters.
Our Vision
Beyond a beautiful culinary journey, we envision a space where every guest truly feels welcome, traditions come alive, stories naturally unfold, and rich Indonesian flavours inspire beautiful cross-cultural connections.
Experiences
Our first Nusantara feast was a shared “Makan Tengah” journey across the Indonesian archipelago in one sitting, from Cirebon's sharp vinegar bite to Makassar's sweet finish. It was a day of 8-course Indonesian lunch paired with 3 signature mocktails, with a live “keroncong” music performance, hosted by an award-winning Indonesian comedian — 30 guests came along to learn and share some cultural tales.
Nusantara 1.0 has come and gone, but we keep every table intimate — which means seats are always limited. Join the waitlist to hear when the next Jumpa Rasa date drops.

Behind every plate at Jumpa Rasa is a region, a history and a memory worth passing on. Here's a taste.
An Indonesian comfort dish with Dutch roots
Semur is Indonesia's answer to a Sunday stew — beef simmered low and slow in kecap manis (sweet soy) until it turns dark, glossy and impossibly tender. The dish traces back to Dutch colonial kitchens, where European braising met Indonesian spice, and never left. Three centuries later it's still the dish that shows up when Indonesian families want to say "sit down, stay a while."

Nothing quiets a table faster than dessert arriving at a Jumpa Rasa supper — especially when it's a whole banana, wrapped in a pandan-green crepe and set adrift in coconut custard. Es Pisang Ijo comes from Makassar in South Sulawesi, and we've watched it start more conversations than it's ended.
